4th October 2009
Windsurfing: levington
Wind Direction: west
Wind Stength: F4-F6
Surf / Sea State: bumpy
Air Temperature: ok
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: ok
Max Speed: 28.3 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 3 runs (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Big expectations for big sat - but had to work till 11 so went straight to levington. 3 sailors out on 5.0M and the meter said 28mph F6 -
I really was only interested in some speed runs and knew the only way I could run 30kts was on the 6.0M, not 5.0 wavy sail. The gust were just too big for 6.0M so after hanging 30 more minutes gave up and set up a 5.4 freeride sail and the kombat 115L.
The wind dropped :) why didn't it do that when I waited? wallowed across a couple of times, so stuck my 145L on a 5.4M, just to say I planed. Did 28.3kts on the Tabou when a big gust came through - but with the wrong sail, wrong board, choppy water and the tide now 50Ms out it was time to quit. Rog and the boys had a great time, so went for sauna, steam nd jacuzzi to cheer me up - nice. If see the stars win the Arc tommorrow (Sun 4th) thats 5 times I have backed him for a monkey, so 3 *** for the sauna and a see the stars win.
